    So two bounties then? One to speed up development of GTK-MUI and another for porting GIMP?

    Sounds resonable?

    A good start then. But is there anyone who wants to do it for the right amount? Knowing this would save time.

    Well, running x86 OSs in a window means virtual machines for Amiga,
    That is REAL helpful.
    In a lot of ways.
    It means I do not have to maintain a Windows laptop anymore.
    I can go back to owning just one laptop.

    Does Bochs emulate everything or just the x86 processor? Does using it mean I have to create a windows partition on my hdd and run it through Boch there, or does it the whole thing?

    Bochs emulates a complete IBM PC compatible computer.

    No. Bochs uses disk images.

    > or does it the whole thing?

    What do you mean "the whole thing"?

    amazingly i just got bochs to boot the windows xp pro iso image and run the setup.
    I am copying a vmware image over to morph that i use to remote to work with windows xp.
    Hope to be booting windows soon.
    According to the site bochs 2.6 introduced an intel nic emulation borrowed from qemu.
    maybe i can get it to work.

    I meant if it emulates the OS as well in some way to make Windows programs directly usable?

    @Zylesea

    For me is being able to change sizes, cut and crop and make the pictures more clear or crisp. Effects are welcomed, but I really don't use them that much.

    @bash64

    Great work! This will make using only MOS easier!

    Btw, is there something similar but Linux? That is, being able to lunch Linux apps in MOS.

    Ah, so you mean a combination of an x86 CPU emulator and a Win32 API wrapper, aka the holy grail :-) No, Bochs doesn't do that unfortunately. Besides, a wrapper of an OS API to another OS API (Win32 to MorphOS in this example) is never portable between different OS, obviously. So it would need a complete rewrite (i.e. not just recompile) to make it run on MorphOS.

    > This will make using only MOS easier!

    Bochs has been running on MorphOS for more than 12 years, so I'm not sure why you think there is a significant change afoot.

    > is there something similar but Linux? That is, being able to lunch

    As I told you, Bochs is an x86 PC emulator, so instead of Windows you can of course run Linux/x86 or any other x86 OS inside Bochs. See there (chapter 9):

    Found this info:

    "On Windows NT/2000, Linux, FreeBSD, and NetBSD, Bochs will forward packets to and from the operating system so that the guest OS can talk on the physical network. Unfortunately, on some platforms the guest OS can talk to any machine on the network BUT NOT the host machine. On Windows and on systems that allow the TAP or TUN/TAP interface, there is no such limitation. Often the host machine may be configured so the guest OS has access to the internet."
