When I start UAE I get the following error:

"you need to have a diskfile in df0: to use the kickstart replacement"

What does it mean? It does not come up with the game Shinobi but that crashes a few secs later.

I have got a new package with UAE 0.8.22 -> Click me! <-

This package works now also with harddrives. Thanx to the man who gives me this port (I lost his name ).

Anyone tested if joysticks works in UAE ?

I'd like to know if there is a way to emulate a perfect A500 WITH sound enabled and full framerate ?

I tried three versions of UAE for PPC and MOS (the WOS "newcore" version 0.8.11 or 12 being the "faster" (!) and most stable one) and neither is fast enough with sound and gfx_framerate set to 1 (even with normal sound set to 8bit 22khz...)

=> There are cuts in the sound. (with framerate=2 and 8bit sound it seems to be ok but animation isn't smooth)

Anyone managed to make it work correctly with gfx_framerate=1 ? If so, how and with what version ? ;)

I got it working. Thnx to Spidey. Now I am going to do some tests to see what the prob was. For now it looks like the kick.rom file was not good. That is strange since I use it with Amiga Forever.

I have the same proble like.

In mos 1.3 UAE works fine ( good sound, good speed, all roms 1.3"with -a switch" - 3.1, but since I updated to 1.4 it freezes after the caliration.

Did you try that package from DJBase? What you also could do is a fresh install of 1.4 instead of an update.

UAE did work with my 1.4 (upgraded from 1.3) but you might have installed some progs that are causing a conflict.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH DjBase. Your package is very easy to install and use.

The last problem is the speed. I Dont know why, but display is jerky. it stops evry 1/2 second.

I would like add a bigger stack size for UAE.elf but dont know how.

I found the solution to jerky problem.

It was sound prob.
now I use 16 bit stereo 44khz and all is good.

I use your package with UAE 0.8.22, and I'm very happy. It's the first time for me that UAE is easy to setup.

The last question in my mind is how to use hardDrives?

Does UAE use a file or a drawer insted of hardDrive?

If it's a file how can I create one?

OK, I saw this gadget to select a drawer, but it doesnt work for me. When I launch HDToolBox, there is not hard drive.
In the console output I can read : "failed attempt to mount device"

SNOOPDOS info : missing trackdisk.device

Where can I find this?

I'll try with a HDfile from a winuae.

You also give the drive a name ? -> Like this

It will be mountet autom. on the Workbench.
