    Oh bugger! :-(

Ah well, thanks for the reply anyway.

Yeah, I have this on my A1 and OSS loads but is so slow it is unusable.

Hmm.. ever since I went with new AHI my volume levels are really low. I have a peg2 with SB Live card.. It was really loud before with standard MOs prefs and built in AHI.. any suggestions would be great.

Is the new AHI way better than the one in MOS 1.4? Normally I would
not hesitate to install any upgrade. In this case, I stayed with the
old version because I don't want the Audio Preferences in the System
    Settings to cease its function.

I know it is a silly reason. However, if most of my preferences are
integrated under one menu item then I don't want to seperate stuff out
and hurting the "feel" of the overall system for a marginal increase
in performance. I'm using the standard onboard audio.

    Hi Magnetic,

Mine has done the same. I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet. So far I have tried using the SB Live MOS mixer, with no effect. I will play in the prefs later to see if I have any luck.

No. This is "just" an update that fixes some bugs and has an improved volumehandeling and prefs program. For paula emulation you'll need either an integration of uae into mos (won't happen) or use a program that (simplified) intercepts calls to paula and redirects them to ahi. Though there is such a program (Nallepuh) it can't be used on mos since it requires the use of the mmu (and mmu usage is disabled in mos).

Even when we would have something like Nallepuh, only a few old audio apps would actually work; most of them depend on other custom chips/hardware next to paula.

What is this paula audio driver for MorphOS?
    http://www.lysator.liu.se/~lcs/files/ahi/beta/Drivers/paula.audio-4.30-morphos-beta.lzx

I'm on a windows machine at the moment, so can't extract the .lzx archive.

Is it for MorphOS when running on a Classic Amiga + PPC?

    Hello,

    I have two questions :

    - where to store the guide document for use from AHI prefs ? I have tried in HELP: and HELP:english but from the help key or rcommand and H the guide file is not loaded, so i do not know which location to choose to obtain help.

    - In the case i install a sound card will i have or not to plug the sound cables from the cd/dvd readers/burners ? If not necessary will not there be problems to hear sounds from cd or dvd ?

you might need to add something to a file here:

    sys:Prefs/Env-Archive/AmigaGuide/path

or make another file - my "path" file is an assign to the help file for ImageFX.

of course, at the moment, i don't know how to get the pc keyboard to have a "help" key. I know there's some info somewhere.

With a standard pc-105 key- keyboard, the "help" key is normally mapped onto the "menu" key (thats the one between the right "ctrl" and "window" keys.
(Dont't know ATM which keys are not present if you use a pc-104 or lesser keyboard).
