    @BeWorld

    Hi,

    Thanks for the new version of FFPlay 4.4.1 and your work.
    I tried the new version
    You also added Altivec support, thanks.

    It has improved a lot at least in the use I try to make of it personally associated with "AmiTube" to watch streams on TwitchTV.

    There are still incompatibilities but it has improved a lot.

    I noticed only one inconvenience that I point out maybe you can solve it.

    In practice, once the streaming starts if I want to close the FFPlay window in which I am viewing the video, it cannot be closed and effectively blocks all subsequent streams.

    (I have installed the latest version 2.0 sdl)

    In the old version of FFPlay 4.4 this never happened the window closed without any problem.

    Thanks again
    I made a video using "qemu" to let you know what I mean is it is in the last part of the video but it also happens on the PowerBook.

    which you can find here:
    https://we.tl/t-jxbatw1Um0

    a little note:

    @jacadcaps

    WayFarer 3.2 reports a crash many times after simply copying the video link to "pass" to AmiTube.
    I sent the reports with the appropriate notification included in "WayFarer"

    Thanks, maybe it's useful.

    Thanks it would be very nice to use FFPlay to watch the streams :-)

    I wanted to ask for some valuable advice
    with morphos how do you kill a process:

    in this case ffplay

    for example it is right:
    "ikill ffplay" ?
    Thank you.

    I wanted to add here that mplayer is not able to play live streams in a watchable way, and the reason is that the live streams are usually playlist m3u8 files with the video broken into small 5-10sec chunks. Although that mplayer is able to use this kind of file, it stops before it plays the next part, so you have a bad video playback experience.

    This is happening on Linux as well. When I was experimenting and was searching if there is a way to overcome that behaviour, I didn't find a way, but I might miss something.

    That's why ffplay is better to playback those video streams.

    @walkero
    @beworld

    exactly, I had already tried this solution some time ago '

    with WayFarer:
    here I use twitchTV (aiostreams) "walkero" site to get the link
    with the "jacadcaps" tool to get the "m3u8"
    and pass it to MPlayer (morphos)

    and it happens exactly what described by "walkero"

    I apologize if I used qemu for the test (I'm still trying to get the audio to work) :-)

    here the test with a short video:
    in reality the video is seen and continues in the vision but in "segments" and at a certain point it ends.

    For those who want to try amitube
    here the link:
    https://www.morphos-storage.net/?id=1728829

    unpacking it is launching it the first time and closing it.
    an .ini file will be created in its folder.
    which does manually configured like this for Morphos:
    [Player]
    Path = Sys: Utilities / MultiView
    Parameter =% f
    MPEGPath = Sys: Utilities / MultiView
    MPEGParameter =% f
    URLPlayerPath = Work: FFMpeg / ffplay <--- ffplay path
    URLParameter =% u <--- here any parameters for ffplay but it's fine by default.
    WGetPath = C: wget
    WGetParameter =% u -O% f

    re-launch it (there is also a way to configure it with the interface but I prefer it this way)
    here is the fastest video to get the links to pass to AmiTube and the tests I have done that work:
    (for convenience i used qemu to make a quick video)

    as you can see from the video, multiple streams are launched at the same time without any block

    https://we.tl/t-kW5X2tU1Ue

    Currently with ffplay it works but it seems to somehow support one process at a time.
    I hope it is useful.

    Or someone can help.

    Thanks to "beworld" for his availability and his work.
