    Hi jacadcaps.

I've testet "Iris" quite a while now and used it daily for the
last two weeks. It never crashed or hit in that time. It also
syncronizes correctly between different platforms. It's
features are currently the bare minimum, but they all work.

I just want to say good work so far! Couldn't have done
that better. Finaly we got IMAP on MorphOS. Keep up
that great work. I'm waiting for the next beta.

Thanks for the positive feedback, naTmeg. I appreciate it.

Beta 35 is now in the closed test and will hopefully make it into a public one within a couple of days...

Beta 36 of Iris introduces support for Drafts in thr Outgoing Messages folder. This build also fixes several issues related to sending messages and adds some UI improvements to the application.

Make sure to check the README.txt file out for the full list of changes.

The archive can be downloaded from tunkki.

Thanks for the suggestions. Folder actions are planned; most likely they'll come in the next beta. As for icons: I am open to adding toolbars, but I don't have the icons I'd like to see there...

Catalog will come - I'm changing too many things in the app for it to make sense right now imo. The app is fully localized internally though.

Hm, after using Iris more regularly two things come to my mind:
    - An "Emtpy Trash" menu entry for the Trash folder would be nice.
    - A "Select All" menu entry in the context sensitive menu inside a folder would be nice.

Apologies if such funtionality is already there and I missed it..

Yeah, I know a Folder context menu is needed badly... will be added to the next beta most likely.

Hey Tom, not sure what you mean by refresh problems. Copy & Paste works via command key + c/v if you mean the email view or editor...

Iris beta 38 is now available (link): changes are mostly focused on UI and optimizations this time.

    - New Folder screen menu in the main window with Mark All Messages as Read, Empty Folder and synchronization functions
    - Separate window menus for main window, reading, writing and other windows
    - Activity LEDs in the folder tree
    - Added Select All/Unread/None to messages list context menu

    - Added a context menu to the html editor & reader

    - Small delay in refreshing the sent folder when finalizing sending emails, fixes some issues with sent emails not appearing in the folder
    - Writer window has a verification requester when closing the window / terminating Iris
    - Added a privacy policy to the Aboutbox window
    - Optimized setting flags on multiple messages at once
    - Fixed a case where duplicate entries could show up in a messages list after sync

Nice! A very substantial update in terms of usability!

And nice to see myself being productive in the bug tracker. ;-)

The WebViews are not refreshing, when enhanced Display is disabled.
I can't enter Text in the New Message Web-View.
I get no Context-Menu in the WebViews.
    I am using Beta 38 and VNC-Server.

Do I read that right that the refresh is broken while viewing stuff via the VNC Server?

In email view you can try to copy text without any marked text...
BTW is it possible to see the complete mail header?

The default Email recipient is invalid@noaddress, is this useful?

There's no way to see the full header... I'll add something later on.

Iris beta 40 is now availble from tunkki.

This beta introduces the ability to move messages within an IMAP account and adds a more modern icon set from icons8.com. Some synchronization bugs have also been fixed.

At a first glance this looks like a networking issue. Run Iris with trace argument from command line and send me the ramdebug log. The trace contains metadata of your emails (but no actual contents).

    And for some fun facts:

Iris is now over 42000 lines of (my own) code and has almost 300 Objective-C classes & protocols. This excludes all the work that went into porting libraries and modifying OWB.
