Writing this from Wayfarer 8.0. Basic port is now done. It remains to be seen how much more I'll have to spend fixing and debugging - media player had so many changes for example, that it will take me a while to restore basic functionality there. All in all, it looks like 8.0 release is now 2 weeks away.

@ jacadcaps - thanks for the update, and for all your (& Piru's) effort that's required to keep Wayfarer relevant, and as up-to-date as possible, for us all to enjoy using it.

Wayfarer 8.0 is now available for download.

It's getting increasingly hard to update WebKit. This version either deprecated or broke a lot of the compile time options I've been using to customize the build. This means I had to put more work into this upgrade than with version 5, 6 or 7.

Bizarre, some crashes (send) at first launches... any idea? Now work fine... Maybe a memory problem...

Tried to donate with Wayfarer 8.0 -> no PayPal login possible! Cannot write anything on login-page.
Had to switch back to Wayfarer 7.x to log in....

On videos on site https://orf.at/ sound does'nt work any more.

Problem, I wrote in #1516 seems now solved - does what it should again.

@jacad: Interessting, i'm sure it worked (Video) a week ago, but it's possible they have changed - they allways change things from time to time.. But over all: V8.0 works very well!

Wayfarer 8.1 now out to fix the reported crashes.

Version 8.2 is now out. I've rebased to the latest stable WebKitGTK 2.44.1 since it fixes some of the additional crashes people were seeing.

This version also enables lazy image loading support which may improve performance on websites using the functionality.

Sometimes Wayfarer cannot be quit. Requester occours, but does nothing when clicking on "Beenden".
Cannot say what circumstances this behaviour causes - comes randomly.
Have to reboot machine.

@ jacadcaps many THX for your hard work. I have testet PayPal with Wayfarer and it works. I send you a little bit THX in Euro :)

Everytime I use search or click the reply button in a thread Wayfarer 8.2 crashes.

I also tried downloading and running 8.2 in a new location but same behaviour.

Mac Mini PowerMac 10,2. I have send both cases bug reports. Hope those shed some light.

Saw the reports. I'm looking into it.

@ jacadcaps - Though v8.2 of Wayfarer seems to be stable and working OK, it is unable to upload photos to the ebay servers for any problems with an item it seems. I used to be able to upload these images as PNG files, though JP(E)Gs were not accepted, but now neither file type is accepted, and generates a server error at ebay that rejects the upload.

The same image(s) are accepted via Windows systems. I don't know what is the cause, but probably the fact that we are using a basically unsupported mainstream web browser cannot be helping our situation, but if there is anything you can do to fix this issue then I'd appreciate it.

I know Wayfarer is well supported by you and Piru, but Cloudflare and others out there just don't care about that!

You can try disabling HTTP/2 support in Network settings and see it that fixes image uploads.

Wayfarer 8.3 is now out with fixes for reported crashes, enabled Beacon API support and updated linklibs.
