    Bootmenu:
When the little /|\-/|\-... circle thing starts spinning: Hit F1 key and keep it pressed. Should bring up the bootmenu. Mouse key should work the same way. Alternativelly you can specify the BM or BootMenu parameter after boot.img in OFW... which triggers it too.

The 3D Cube thing (as said many times in past already;) is an extra application and will be releases by its author (kiero), when he thinks its releasable/ ready/ etc.

Well, in Linux World they would probably say:
    RTFM!!!

However, as I am a nice person, I quote from the readme:

    Quote:

    New boot options:
    -----------------
BD=BootDevice/K - Boot from given device. Example:
    boot .. bootdevice=SDH2

The boot menu does not allow changes to the mount
parameters for technical reasons, so you need to use
    this parameter instead.

BM=BootMenu/S - Enter bootmenu without user intervention.

3D=Use3DLayers/S - Enable 3D accelerated layers, giving extra speed and
    real transparency.
NOTE: 128MB graphics card is highly recommended!

SML=SafeMemLists/S - Use old MorphOS 1.x-style memory system with extra
safety checks. This could be useful for debugging
some buggy applications for example. SML is much
slower than the new MorphOS 2 memory system however.

    PC=PreloadCmd/K - Command(s) to execute before startup-sequence. Multiple
commands can be given separated by a *N. Examples:
    boot ... PC="echo *"Hello, world*""
    boot ... PC="dir sys:*Nquit"

I would assume that the 3d Switch is needed, however since I am currently not in front of my Peg, I can`t verify this.

For the bootmenu, as stated in the release notes, you have to press F1 or left mousbutton (or use the bootmenu switch)

    Hope that helped

    Edit
Ok, Tokai was faster, with a bit more precise informations ;)
However, it is nevertheless a good Idea to read the documentation ;)

    You mean the bootparameters?
    They are just that, bootparameters.
You can either append them when booting manually, but most likely you will add them to your OF bootmenu. (IIRC the example of script of the of bootmenu creator had allready an entry with options for morphOS)

This is my bootparameters: /pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 boot.img ramdebug edebugflags=

If i type the Layers3D like that:
    /pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 boot.img 3D=Use3DLayers/S ramdebug edebugflags=

    it won't start.

EDIT: Got it it's just: boot.img 3D ramdebug edebugflags

one more thing, how do i get rid of the annyoing Register window that slows down my System??

    thanks again.

    @ keropi

    1- setenv boot-file boot.img ramdebug (It becomes: boot.img 3D ramdebug)
    2- setenv boot-device /pci/ide/disk@... (unit in wich boot.img is)
3- setenv auto-boot-timeout 3000 (three seconds to go... or whatever you like)
    4- setenv auto-boot? true

    Done!

The transparancy is a commodity that is not bundeld with M2 and it depands on if the Coder is willing to release it :-(

magnetic, it was told 2 posts before, that plender (the tool for transparency) is NOT included in the release. its the same issue as with the cube: it will come later by its coder.

Windows aren't and won't be "transparent" by default. It's for the application's author to implement/enable that. Ultragelb's plender is a funny patch that lets you override that and that's what the new features were usually demoed with. It's not part of the OS though.

its really impressive and - against the readme - useful!

could you make the shortcuts and keybindings configurable? + will that be possible to use the mouse only (press the 3rd button to enter cube and rotate while its pressed, or rotate cube with mousewheel)?

i put the release info in the news section of pegasos.hu, if you dont mind.

Yeah, I have to agree that transparency shouldn't be enabled by default. It looks quite fancy and it's fun to impress your friends with, but to actually have it enabled for any serious work.. personally I think I'll keep the windows solid :-) Also, 3dlayers is much more than just "transparent windows". It actually is a totally new way to handle clipping and display composition. In certain cases it's hundred of times faster than the old layers (well ok, you really need to test the worst case scenarios there :-)). Basically the neat tricks such as transparency are a byproduct (though I bet jacadcaps also had transparency in mind when he deviced the cunning plan...)

Regardless, the actual OS facilities that allow these new nice tricks are there, so as soon as the apps are released, you will be ready to go. Cube is already out, so have fun.
