MorphOS 2.0 has been released! :-D

It would be really interesting to hear everyone's views of what features and news you like the best! Go ahead and post your opinions here! These good news surely deserves some noise, right? Don't let this pass by in silence! Let's wake up this slumbering site! :-)

(Also, feel free to share your gratitude and conduct general worshiping of the MorphOS Team! ;-))
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

By the way if I can have a real packaging for 150euro I prefer to wait

Thanks MORPHOS crew. And if you euro guys think $115 euro is pricey, try converting to us dollars! Cost more than Vista! ;-)

I'm not going to write any appreciation for MOS Devel. Instead, after I get my EFIKA and check out MOS, they will get appreciation via Paypal. :)

Same here in Finland. Vista is less than a hundred euros, 76 euros to be exact.

150? is about three times more than I can pay so my only option is to sell the Pegasos2 after the trial is over :-(

Same here in Russia. Vista costs less than 100eur. 150 eur is a VERY high price. Some of us can allow themselves to spend that amount of money, but some are not.
    @hooligan
Sorry to hear that, pal! 8(

Well, just compare the user base of PC users and Pegasos users. How many orders of magnitudes difference? And as usually, nobody is forced to buy anything. It's just an offer.

PS: None of the MOS Team Developers will get rich from it, no matter how high or low the price is.

Yes, you are right. And its a large team in a whole so they money gets spread out thin i'm sure... I was being funny, it was more about crying about EURO V US DOLLAR than MOS price.

I burned the CD and will be going for install tonight! :Dancingbanana:

    :-)

If the idea is not to get rich, why the price is so high then and the price is per box, but not per user?
PS: The MOS-team had abandoned users themself. Little people want to wait 4 years for another "2 more weeks".
PS2: I've been writing about this already.

The price is reasonable for an operating system.

Remember that this is a full "retail" version. The price
point is in direct competition with Mac OS X.

Windows retails cost 2-3 times more than this!

It's just the bundled OEM's which are cheap, and may not
    be sold without hardware..

Small misunderstanding. I am not critizising the price at all. I just told this pricerange is out of my reach due to car-payments.

Looks like I'll have to cut out a few nights at the saloon!!! I was getting bored with computer stuff in general so I'm glad this is finally out. At least some people actually produce something besides vapor....

    I totally agree with you.

Why not a discount if you buy various licenses? It wouldn't hurt the MOS-Team...

Since it doesn't come with a proper box I expected a lower price (around 75Euros) for users who didn't bought the CD/USB version.

I'm very happy that, after years of furstration and endless waiting, MorphOS 2.0 finally came out to the light.
Congratulations both to the MorphOS team, for this polished piece of work, but congratulations go also to everyone here, for being so patient and confident. I hope the wait is worth all this suffering. But now, we have a lot of work!
The debate about its price is legitimate. I'm set to buy it, but not immediately.
