    Hi all,

It seems that here Amifish dosn't work anymore as I always get a "Amarquee error". I got this error before but seldom, now it's all the time.

I don't remember having changed something in my System, so I wonder if anyone else has such a problem?

    Thanks for help.

    Hi again,

I still have the same problem, I always get an "Amarquee error" and therfore can't use Amifish at all.

Does anyone have an idea what that could come from, what I do wrong...?

    Thanks for help.

Hi! I have the same problem... So: I thought to downgrade the three MUI libraries this software needs (betterstring.mcc, nlist.mcc and busy.mcc) but... I noticed that the error message is incomplete. In fact, if you try to execute a translation with the 68k version the message is "Amarquee error: TCP Connection Closed". Then, in the amifish.readme, at "Changes V1.160 (07.04.2005)": Once again Babelfish wasted some time in changing their interface and once again this means amifish needs a new version. The new version is v1.161 (20.04.2005)... And actually Babelfish seems to have changed its interface once again. Could it be the reason why Amarquee doesn't work anymore? :-?

There's a new version available at http://amifish.amigazeux.net that works again.

I have problems too at the moment. I tried to find a new version of AMarquee.library, but it was hard to find. I've now AMarquee52. There seems to be a version 54 but I couln't find that version.

Unfortunately even with this new library and with the new AmiFish version it does still not work here.

What TCP stack are you using?

Also, are you using amifish with or without a proxy and in either case, could you try by using/not using a proxy?

I tried amifish with MiamiDX with and without proxy and had no problems.

I use MOSNet v1.2 PowerPC and AFAIK without a proxy. About the proxy I'm not 100% shure but I don't remember having istalled/setup it and don't even know how to install/use it.

Just to let you know, AmiFish worked just fine with excately the same TCP stack. I did'nt make any changes to the stack.

RMS : Here, it works again (with the new "version" of Gelb and my old amarquee.lib). I'm using MOSNet 1.2 too, so, it's not the TCP/IP stack...

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, it's weird...

Nice to hear from you :-)

I don't know neither why this is. I made a screengrab where you can see waht happens and as well a version command on the amarquee.library...

Really strange because it worked fine up to know...

    Hi all,

I just found out that if only one single word is entered to translate it works, but if several are entered I get the amarquee error.

    Strange isn't it?

And I just tried one word...

I must retry it with several words... Tried, and it doesn't work... "Amarquee error : TCP Connection closed"

What do you think, could this be changed as it was before, so one could enter a sentence to translate?

    Would be great!
