    "amiga-news.de reports..."?

Amiga news writes even: "According to data of the Pegasosforums"

    http://pegasosforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=3052

    pegasosforum write:

    http://www.vesalia.de

    Hint: Search at Vesalia: "Burnit!"
Click at "BurnIt! 3.0..." und you found a german product description and any screenshoots.

    http://www.vesalia.de/d_burnit3.htm

(On the English sides of Vesalia you find a Link to "Google translation" for this description.)

I have visited the German Vesalia pages and read about it. My German isn't too good but I managed to understand most of it, and I must say - WOW! This is one of the key applications we have been missing. I'm about to order it now...

(Zylesea, maybe you should edit the topic in your first post to better reflect this great news? Something at least containing the word "BurnIT 3" perhaps? :-))

I don't see why not (just use usbscsi.device), I haven't actually tested myself though (but I can't imagine there'd be any problems as long as you use USB2.0)...

OK I've ordered it now. Hopefully I will get the time to write a review about it and post it here. No promises though.

AFAIK this software has been "in production" for a very long time now (which could indeed mean anything between very lazy programmers and good mature software ;-)), and has been shown in public. Well, we'll see. In any case, this is a much needed software IMHO, and I will be glad to have it (even more so if it's stable of course ;-))...

much needed software ? where are you leaving ? anyone who ever need to burn dvd on morphos bought frying pan for a long time now (even if it is not perfect).

burnit 3.0 arrive way too late IMHO. which key feature could be included in it to force someone to register a second burning software ?

Yes, but I was unable to burn a single DVD with FryingPan. Also burning ISOs seems to be impossible. For me a waste of money.

well, personnally i stick with the old 0.x version here, 1.x been useless.

if you mean burning iso of dvd, off course it is not possible, but it will be probably impossible with burnit too.

I guess Satan would be wise to invest into winter sports already. There have so many things accumulated which all were supposed to materialize right after hell would freeze over.one of those items we just saw materializing and I guess a freezing hell will be seen several more times (geeh, the Alps winter sport industry will be higly critical threatened once the real ice age in hell starts when MOS 2.0 will arrive).
Satan should buy warm clothes ;-)

do you mean in general or images larger than 2gb?

the latter cant be made possible before the release of Mos 2.0 and should be no big problem to integrate afterwards or am i wrong?

    It's possible to burn a DVD's ISO if it's on samba ;-)

BurnIT handles >2gig ISOs by splitting them into 1gb parts. You can easily split huge files on a linux box, etc and use them with BurnIT. When creating ISOs or ripping a DVD, BI obviously makes 1gig files too.

Hmm, would be nice to have an unrar tool that when unpacking/joining together a 4GB image which is split into a large number of .rar files automatically unpacks it to 4x 1GB files... ;-) Or maybe that is already possible? :-)

Well... it's opensource. I'm sure someone could add it ;)

Perhaps one could unpack to stdout and pipe it to split cmd? :)

what about fixing the original issue instead or finding twisted solutions ? I don't want to rar or split or whatever, i want to burn 4gb isos :)

    Not only that.
The 2 GB filelimit is a real pain for me.
Not only that you cant get stuff bigger then 2gb with ml donkey,
i also cant stream to big things at once from my settop box to my MorphOS Box....

To change this, it would require alot of changes to the dos.library and FS i guess (like SFS2 tries)

    Does MOS2 include this somehow?

You've ordered it, but did you get? The item is currently marked as "unavailable", and they seem not to have the slightest idea when and if they will have it.

    Hi There ;)

Here I have succesfully burnt a 4,3GB film iso file with Frying Pan.

The file was on a samba mounted partition on MorphOS, but it's only possible with 1.2.3 version of Frying Pan.

Don't forget that I use to take registration request for France, Luxembourg, Belgium, England, even USA for this great sotware !

As soon as I will have an answer from Titan directly, we'll add Burnt It software too on our webshop : www.imm-informatique.lu.

    Thanks ;)
