    Cheers, all :)

With CISCs help I'm working on a MIGHTY RELAUNCH of CD32-live ;)
(the 1st release seems to be more a cdtv-live...)

    Features so far:

-Radeon TV-out with ALL games/emulators included
(only snes9x doesn't want till now...)
    - optional mounts usb-hd on startup for
    roms/cfgs/isos read/write from there
( can be configured to point to an internal- partition, so usb2.0 not neccesarily needed)
    - default boot (boot cd 32) will boot directly into
    a real cd32-cd in 2nd cddrive
(can also be chosen from within cd32-menu)
    - more than 100 cd32-games preconfigured
so you only need the iso
    - under /tools are versions for linux and mos
of bin2iso which convert your cue/bins into isos...

If you want your game(s) to be supported by default please send their Volume-IDs either here
or via pm, else you'll have to configure yourself...

Still several things to do, but it already ROCKS here ;)

Without CISCs help I wouldn't have done the relauch!

    cheers

    TV-out working sounds exciting.

    I'll be a tester!

THX for friendly reply, Mario! :)

    Nobody with CD32-gamecd-names here?
You do it for you not for me....
Voodoo-support will very likely be dropped, as gatos-xorg doesn't
    seem to like it...

As soon as I get home
(I work in Rome... but stay at Naples in weekends)
    I'll check the cd32 titles I've got...
Not too many, but I wasn't ever able to play them, because I had.... no live cd yet!
So only a few titles available....
    As usual, my small contribution

Do I understand this new version correctly?

We can use Real Amiga CD32 cds and play directly off the CD Drive?

What about joypad support? Does the Gameport work ok? What about USB?

    Hi :)
    @ mario:

    THX for contributing again ;)

    @magnetic:

Yes, cd32-cd in 2nd drive is directly booted from
    the livecd :)
    USB support activated :)
(mass storage only tested with usb2.0 though)
    joypad ready too :)

    Hi Frostwork,

Is it also able to only play with one CD-Drive or do I have to make an ISO in this case?

Concerning the CD-IDs: How do I get them?

    @ frostwork & CISC

Wow! Really great news! The first one was cool already, but this one with TV out, preconfiguration of games, etc, will *rule*! :-D

I really like the concept with live CD's. I see possibilities! :-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

HI! This is my small contribution:
The volume Ids of the few games I own (more to come, I hope!).

    CHUCKROCK
    CHUCK_ROCK_2
    Banshee
    BlackViper_CD
    Bubba
    Litil_Divil_CD32

Of course, the names are case sensitive.
I wish I could do more...

    BYE and good work!!

    Hi :)

    @HAK:

    >Is it also able to only play with one CD-Drive or do I have to make an ISO in this case?

You want to replace the live-cd with a cd32 cd, did I understand correctly?
It would probably work in theory, but I don't think that I'm experienced enough to make it real... But you can surely include your cd32-game within
the live-cd, this already worked on 1st version (i.e. a hybrid cd able to
boot on both peg & real cd32 :))

    >Concerning the CD-IDs: How do I get them?

CD-ID is a weird word, and I'm not even sure if it is really called so...
Simply insert your cd32 cd under mos, and the name which shows up
    is the CD-ID, Vol-ID.... :)

    @ takemehomegrandma:

    > I see possibilities!

    Me too ;)

    @ Mario :)

    Great, thanks!!!!

    Now some "news":

I've included a new option in the of-bootmenu:
    "Amiga ClassiX 4":
You'll be able to launch into advmenu showing all games which are
on the AmigaClassiX4 CD in second drive :)
It even uses the kickroms/cfgs of the cd, so no need to reburn the
live-iso... Some games refuse to run from cd though, as they want to
to be rw, but you can put the data off the AClassiX4 CD onto your
    usb-hd f.e... :)

    - Gatos patched Xorg doesn't work with voodoos.
I'm planning to include voodoo-support anyways, but a
"REALLY GOOD" voodoo-xorg/xfree.cfg would help to make it as
    fast as possible

    - not so important:
some cd32-games refuse to work from within euae emulation:
i'll include their cfgs anyways in a "not-working-uaerc" dir, in case you
want to play experiment with them...)

    - maybe some games already on cdga will be included to let you play them on tv... (only radeons of course...)

    cheers

    Hi Frostwork,

    Quote:

You want to replace the live-cd with a cd32 cd, did I understand correctly?

Well, if I understood the concept of the CD32-Live-CD correct, one can either
    a) boot with this CD in one drive where it behaves like a CD32 and insert an original CD32-CD into the other one which will be used
    or
    b) make an ISO of an original CD32-CD and combine it with the CD32-Live-CD so one only needs one CD-Drive.

The latter one doesn't sound very appealing to me, as I would have to make one "special" CD32-Live-CD for every CD32-CD I already have.
In this case, I would either prefer
    a) booting with the CD32-Live-CD which uses a ramdrive as system disk after having fully bootet, so I can replace this Live-CD with an original CD32-CD (and therefore only need one CD drive
    or
    b) booting with the CD32-Live-CD where I can mount a directory in which I have stored ISOs of my original CD32-CDs and use them.

    Quote:

Ah, in this case there would be:

    Banshee
    Chaos_Engine
    Naughty Ones CD32
    Skeleton_Krew
    Wendetta 2175

Sorry, if I repeated already mentioned CDs.

    Hi

Your prefered b) works either with usb2.0 hd (default) or with an
internal hd-partition... (has to be configured)
    a) would surely somehow work, but
    - it'll eat up lots of mem probably (I only have 256mb)
    - I probably can't do it...

    THX for the vol-ids:)

    Some more news:

    I've implemented 2 xorg-images, 1 for radeon (+tvout), 1 for voodoos.
The required one will be mounted on bootup the unused can be deleted
    by user.
Xmame/Xmess games now do look correctly under voodoo :)

I still need a good working XORG.CFG for VOODOO!
Otherwise all uae stuff will be unfunny slow under voodoos...

    cheers

How about making the system work from ram disk when booting, and ejecting the livecd when needed no more?

Can't fit 2 CD drives in my case...

MMh, this is exactly the problem I described on previous post....
You anyways can still use a (usb)-hd ....

    news:

    - added Doomsday (radeon only) as a removable own squash, so if not
    needed simply delete it...
    - anybody with a euae-commandline parameter which overrides joystick
setting from uaerc? (AClassiX4 uses keyboard instead of joy on default)
    - does euae support cdaudio? If so how to activate it?
    - voodoo xorg.cfg ?

The problem with this config is that it gives wrong colors (blues ans reds are "swapped").
By the way is the only working config with voodoo 5.
"tdfx" instead of "tdfx" is NOT working at all (same old message:
"screens found but none usable" and Xserver quit).
I think this is a PEG II issue.

Maybe someone else has another hint...

    Hi!

    I checked your cfg:

Sadly it's neither with fbdev nor with tdfx faster than mine...
If fbdev is chosen xmame/mess do no longer work :(
    Maybe on a Voodoo5 it's faster than on a Voodoo3 (?)
The xorg which will be on the release works with tdfx...

I'm working on some additional secret features.
If finished with these (with or without success) I'll come
    to an end after docs-writing/beta-testing/finetuning....

Anybody interested to make a peg1 compatible kernel before release?
I can send you the kernel-cfg & other things you think you could need
    for making one...

ps: Did someone ever try to make a "molk" kernel?

MacOnLinux completely installed within the initrd in the kernel?
I consider to give it a try, but if s.o. knows it doesn't work I don't
have to waste time on it :)

    Yep, me again "replying"...

klapdeur wants to try to make a peg1-kernel, but he isn't
experienced yet with making some, so additional peg1-kernel-compilers
    might help peg1-users...

Upgraded euae to the latest 0.8.27RC2 & it's much faster...
Edited all AmigaClassiX4 -cfgs , so the (old) cfgs from the
    cd are no longer used...

    todo:

    - wait for xmame 0.99 ;)
    - maybe add Radeon-NTSC-option (if not users in NTSC-country have
to edit xorg.xfg to point to NTSC instead of PAL. no prob though)
    - recheck everthing
    - 2 more splashscreens (doomsday& AClassix4)
artists wanting to contribute with a pic are welcome ;)
    - smaller stuff I forgot now ...

I'm happy to see this project.
Did you got the solution thor TFT screen problems?
Unfortunatly, I can not use your last live Cds and I'm realy very sad
    of that.
Output for TV is a very good thing. I'll try this solution since I
    can download your CD ;-)

I don't have a TFT, but maybe you could send me your xorg-cfg so I

    I'm trying to implement a hd-installer atm :)
It already works here completely booted from hd, but to make the

    ok,
And installer is a very good idea.
It could work like a real CD32 just booting from HD and leting the CDROM for Games.

For the xorg-cfg file, I dont know where to find it on my debian.
    Please where is it?

    Hi!

    Your xorg.cfg is under /etc/X11/xorg.cfg
If you still use xfree it's called ....ehhhh, different (?)
(sorry forgot it..., but it's in /etc/X11/... too)

Yes HD install is a must have :-)
Particularly for me as my radeon 9000 PCI cause the system to shutdown after X tries to open.
