Thank you for 1.4.5 - just downloaded it, will check it out tomorrow.
    :-)

But to keep on shouting and bitching (seems to be very hip these days)
:-p : What you bastards and selfish guys thought to release it just
before the first real summer-day in mid europe (*)? Now I will stay in
front of my computer instead of going out to nature and enjoy the
sun! Thank you very much for ruining my 1st May. ;-)

(Writing the above I guess Paul Watzlawick would be proud of me how
    good I learned his lessons...)

    (*)
I guess it's also the MOS devs who kept the weather from becomimg
GPL'ed, otherwise we had already 25°C in February.
    ;-)

I hadn't gotten too involved with my MOS 1.4.4 installation, so I repartitioned and reformatted and installed 1.4.5 from scratch.

Had more than the usual amount of glitches getting the OS booting reliably from hard-drive, not sure why. It was hanging at boot title picture. But it works now.

The new Kaya skin is very nice. The latest Ambient has good stuff like scaling of icons. The use of this latest open-source version of Ambient is a big step forward.

MOS 1.4.5 still won't run Diskmaster. IIRC MOS 1.3 ran it though. But Directory Opus 4.16 runs great. My wishlist for MOS 1.5 (besides the obvious like TCP/IP) is that we get on-the-installation-CD installer, lha, and amigaguide apps.

However this 1.4.5 is a really good interim MOS release and the MOS team is really showing that they are active and meaning business. The world better watch out when MOS 1.5 comes out in Pegasos, Mac, and PowerPC-accelerated Amiga versions!

You get the thumbs up from me! New Ambient release included, Genesis networking without problems again. :-)
After a long wait we get a more and more improved Morph OS. Big Thanks for that.

Now waiting for Altivec , native TCP/IP; Radeon 3D support :-D
And that's all i need in the first place.

What happens when you run DiskMaster?

The only problem, at the moment, is the Poseidon Usb pack that freeze the boot of MOS. The only solution seems to put in rem the line "PoseidonROMUpdate" in startup-sequence, but with no usb ports use, obviously. :-(

Poseidon 2.2 is already in the boot.img. No need at all to run any
    "romupdate" or unplug USB stuff.

    @itix

When I run DiskMaster it starts up and looks okay. Put when I click the mouse button to select a file in a list window the program partially locks up. I can still resize windows but can't select files.

I just tried it here and both 68k and os4 versions work fine... Could it be config file problem?

Good one guys! I guess i should put it back on now that my 1.4.5 is
    all done and setup!!

EDIT: I just discovered its from one of Tokai's libs. I knew he did
the picture, but thought it was from his work in the new Ambient.
    Funny still.

Just a note that everyone upgrading to 1.4.5 should take a look at Bladerunners post in the 1.4.4 tricks and tips thread. Also, be sure to look through for other information there as well.

    Quote:

    Bladerunner:

This is just a quick update from the previous tipps and tricks list for Mos 1.4.5:

    USB Update:
No longer required, MOS 1.4.5 has now the latest Poseidon included.

    Arexx:
same solution as with all previous updates.

    Weather:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update

    Skins:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update, also mentioned in the Readme

    Earth2140:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update

    Muicon:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update, also
    mentioned in the Readme

    Ambient:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update, Note that 1.4.5 has allread a SE Edition from Ambient 1.41

    TGEmu,SMSplus,Genesisplus:
Same Solution as with the 1.4.4 update,AHI still misses the Audiomode DEVICE

    Candyfactory:
New asl.library is available, now you can have the screenmode selection again (with all posible screenmodes by "setenv save asl/MODEREQ_EMULATEBUGS 1" this is also mentioned in the readme. Note this doesnt`t work for PSA, you have to hack the prefs file manually, I gave a short howto here in the Forumsection.

    Voyager:
As stated in the readme, Voyager is no longer Part of MorphOS. with 1.4.5 there are also some mui classes missing. Have a look in the readme for the missing classes. As they are no longer part of MOS, I suggest a reinstall of those classes in sys:classes/mui (No longer in Mossys)

    Screenmode edit (Radeon)
Fixed, Screenmode creation works fine now

    Snes9x:
Well, Fab still hasn`t released an updated version

Feel free to add/complete this small faq.
