Hey guys.. does anyone know of a program where I can burn CD's with MP3 tracks that will play in my car? I have programs on my iMac that can do that, but I am wondering if such a thing exists for MorphOS!

I'm not sure what functions or features such program would need that exceed the functions and features of an ordinary CD burning program. At least, MorphOS since release 3.0 comes with the "CD / DVD authoring application Jalapeno".

Jalapeno should do it just fine. Just drag & drop mp3 files and/or dirs into its main window and hit "Go!".

Edit: I assumed your audio system in car plays mp3 files, but if you meant that you want to convert mp3 files into audio tracks for older CD players, then Jalapeno might not do it (should check), but Frying Pan or MakeCD do the job.

Not to convert. My car plays MP3 audio but I think it has to be in a certain layout on the disc. I'm trying to find ways not to use my iMac these days. I haven't used it much since I brought up my PegII to do the 3.0 update!

Well, most likely, if you just put your mp3 files at the root of the disk they'll be recognized, it's the simplest way I can think of.

Your player may be ancient and accept only ISO 9660 Level 1 format with restrictions on file and directory names.

MakeCD can create Level 1 format. I don't know about the other solutions.

Some MP3 players only check the root and first level of the directory tree. Hence, you mmay consider not to go deeper than one level into the directory tree to place tracks.
