I cannot view with apdf the french user manual utilisateur of my new screen, a iiyama prolite e2773hds. Apdf asks me a user password as an author password. Since I have amigaos 4.1 on my pegasos 2 I have switched under this one, and there I have been able to view the aformentionned manual without any problem with amipdf. Why that simple operation is not it possible under morphos 2.x with apdf ?

Because this PDF file complies with the PDF 1.6 specification and Apdf of MorphOS 2.7 supports only up to PDF 1.5 properly. If you don't want to wait for MorphOS 3.0, which will overcome this limitation, you may want to use the one or other browser-based workaround:

I have tested your pdf file and can confirm APDF problems. The file you have linked is
protected against changes. I don't know why it acts like the hole file is protected.
