How to mount CD ROM on EUAE

    Bonjour,
    I'm a new morphos user (registered 1 week ago, happy n°1318 on Mac Mini G4 1.5, MOS 2.7) and a totally morphos noob,
    I have installed the very nice Ultimate Papiosaur Pack, all work fine... except that I can't mount my cd drive on e-uae 0.8.29-WIP4

    I'm trying to mount a CD (the OS3.9 one) on e-uae to install a new and fresh Classic environment to try to install TuroCalc, WordWorth (or anothers famous office 68k appl).
    .
    I succeed to install OS3.1 from ADF into a virtual HD, but I can't install OS 3.9 from CD (the same 3.9 CD work well on my A1200 with squirrel CD drive).

    I read on Internet that I have 2 ways to install 3.9 on e-uae

    1) To install, on my morphos filesystem, directly the 3.9 system with the OS 3.9 installer from the 3.9 CD.

    But when I double-click the OS 3.9-installer icon, nothing happens (often, nothing happens when I try to start a 68k appl, for example, the Boulderdash from Grunch repository, the installer for Amiga Writer demo...Are a lot of 68k pgm compatible with MOS 2.7?)

    http://obligement.free.fr/articles/euae.php
    Sous MorphOS ou AmigaOS 4, insérez le CD de l'AmigaOS 3.9, double-cliquez sur l'icône "OS-Version3.9" puis sur "OS3.9-Installation" et faites l'installation complète ("OS3.9 full installation...") dans un répertoire de votre disque dur.

    2) To mount the 3.9 CD on e-uae
    with the following parameter

    scsi=true
    scsi_device=ATAPI

    Neither the first, nor the second solution work on my system.

    On MOS, the CD is mounting great, on my e-uae joblog, it seems that my CD drive is recognized too :

    ide.device 1: 'MATSHITA' 'CD-RW CW-8124 ' 'DACD' CD-ROM
    ide.device 0: 'ATA-HD ' 'ST9808211A ' ' '
    SCSIDEV: 1 device(s) found
    support_scsi = 1 support_ioctl = 0
    ide.device:1 = uaescsi.device:0

    Sorry for this long question, just to ask

    How do you do to mount a CD drive on e-uae ?

    Many thanks by advance for your reply.

    Not sure on EUAE method, but to get Amigawriter demo installation going change the default tool of the "Install AmigaWriter.info" from "c/installer" to "c:installer".

    This may help with the OS3.9 installation aswell, but I don't have copy of that to hand in order to check :-)

    Thank you all for your replies.
    I succeed to install AmigaWiter.

    For OS3.9 on euae, Daff has just updated his procedure on obligement.
    Just copying Sys:MorphOS/C/installer to Sys:C/installer make the OS3.9 install fine.

    was that file extraction or actual mounting on on e-uae? I already can boot into 3.9 workbench, but can't mount a cd. It would be good to mount a cd.

    Following the instructions from Obligement (in french...) my CDRom driver is mounted on euae.

    1) after have installed os39 in a directory on morphos from the 3.9 installer, I start my new 3.9 system.
    2) I start again the 3.9 installer from Morphos to install the CDRom driver, i choose my 3.9 hardfile for target of course
    3) Normally, the CD0 dosdriver is copied on Devs/DOSDrivers/CD0 on 3.9 system
    4) editing this CD0 file, you have to replace Ide.device by uaescsi.device and to set an Unit number, for me the right Unit was 1.
    5) after a stop/start of uae, the OS39 CD is mounted on 3.9 uae system too.

    Thanks to Daff!

    found the issue. It was my morphos-uaeload.conf file which had scsi=false, so switched
    it to true. I also went ahead and added cd0: in devs to mount my usb drive now I have two cd devices mounted!

    Thanks for the tips!
    Good looking Daff!

    I hope my favorite racing game (top gear 2) works...being a cd32 media

    So cd TP2 won't go. No early mountlist (mouse buttons pressed at startup) had to use whdload copy.
    Anyone know how to program 2nd player? joypad. Ony mouse moves the controls for 2nd plr.

    This is a config for A1200.conf. Seems like it could be modified for 2player port.
    Now keen on it though which seems to control plr 1 and mouse controls
