Youtube has changed, so Tubexx got broken (and maybe got fixed too, since).

You can also use getvideo that was fixed, or just OWB since it also has builtin youtube support. :)

Any news on tubexx? Will there be a fixed version?
Also, just tried OWB today with the newest script (Dec 15th) and I can't play youtube vids. It seems to load the vid without flash, but it never starts playing and I can't press the "play" button. Anyone else with this problem?

Er, what do you mean? With the youtube.js userscript? It works just fine.
Provide more details (menu windows->messages should be self-explanatory if js errors were encountered), and also install the flash plugin if you don't have it, else it could fail in some cases.

It stopped working here as well. On some videos only, though.

    The messages say:
    [SWFDEC] Loading stream:
    [MediaPlayer] Loading (url)

One of the videos that won't work is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovzFqigg7_I

I assume Flash is installed properly since SWFDEC goes to work?

It works fine here. Sure you pressed play? :)
Is the media url being downloaded? Check network manager leds at bottom, for instance.

On YouTube, try to enter "Raw Url" in the Video Url field in the preferences (bottom right of the video).

    @Fab

I'll try to explain it in more detail:

OWB worked fine with youtube until about 30 days ago when last visited that site. Today (both from peg2 and pmac mdd) I tried to enter a video (in fact, the same applies to any video I tried) and I got a flash version not supported. I realized that something must've changed and headed to your website and dled the latest script. So, when I retried, it redirected to the mp4 version of the video (or so it seemed) and that means I can see the chrome-like play button and time slider, but the video won't start. I tried to click on the play button but it doesn't respond. I tried to right click and hit play and it did nothing. I also tried to download the video and again it didn't work. Both machines have 2.7 installed and OWB 1.11 with the latest youtube script. I hope that clarifies my problem.

    edit:
for some reason, it seems to work now. Maybe youtube was under some internal changes the time I tried? :-?
I'll try on the pmac with another video and report if it works there too.

    edit2:
it worked on pmac too. Download as well. One glitch I've encountered is that sometimes the video page has to be reloaded to get the "play without flash" and "download" links. I have no other explanation than that my previous attempts to view the vids coincided with some under-the-hood youtube work....In any case, thx for your quick response Fab! :)

But did you download http://fabportnawak.free.fr/owb/scripts/YouTube.js ? Otherwise it can't work for sure, since Youtube change.

Ah, my bad. I assumed the latest scripts were included when I updated to MOS 2.7, but the one you linked to is newer and works fine with the video below.

Yes, Youtube change/break too often for my release cycle. Hopefully, next OWB version should include the fixed youtube.js version and Youtube won't break it the day after. :)

    Thanks Fab,

I also made just a week ago fresh reinstall of the whole OS and didn't realise that OWB came from 2.7 cd and not from latest archive...

They are both the same except the version from MorphOS 2.7 being a non-SVG version.
