Just for the fun of it, I downloaded and installed a new app for Android phones called Awesome Drop. It's an easy way to move files wirelessly from your computer to your phone. Unfortunately, the supported browsers are all pretty recent: Firefox 3.6, Safari 5 and Chrome. OWB 1.8 allows me to access a PIN, then shows the drop area, but files dropped there only open new tabs in OWB that display the image, text, or whatever.

Do you think you could make this work?

    Here's the link: http://labs.dashwire.com/drop

In the meantime, I've asked the Awesome Drop team if they could provide a file requester for an experience that's only slightly less Awesome.

It most likely requires implementing the HTML5 DragnDrop feature, which i haven't done yet.
