    Hi,

Experienced once a crash with a jpg picture. This was solved by updating to latest reggae classes.

    Are your classes uptodate?

Maybe you should ask rzokool ( i think i mispelled his nick...) directly. He is the maintener of thoses classes IIRC.

Morphos-files is sadly not up to date for reggae classes. Those jfif classes are missing for ex.

Krashan ! Push them all !

    Done.

Morphos-files is sadly not up to date for reggae classes.

Now it is up to date with 3-rd party classes and up to date with official classes compared to MorphOS 2.4. MorphOS 2.5 release will bring more classes and updates for many existing ones.

    @Krashan,

I have just downloaded your latest reggae files and copied them, but I still have the same crash than tcheko with multiview and jpeg/jfif pictures. So I verified the versions, they are the same nor their md5 sums. So what have you done to these files since their latest updates and their previous ones in november/december 2007 ?

They are not mine. Most of these classes are written by Michał Żukowski, as clearly stated in their descriptions.

So what have you done to these files since their latest updates and their previous ones in november/december 2007

I've done nothing. Blame Michał if there is no changelog. I guess grabbing a crash log and sending it to Michał is the best solution for the whole problem.

as i see, krashan have uploaded my old decoders/demuxers to morphos filets, so there is no changes in them, i have very little time now (and i live in different flat now without peg and mac mini, only having powerbook here so i'm waiting for new morpos release). During Easter i will be making new scandal drivers, maybe i will have some time for reggae coding.
I can send my decoders to morphos team also to include it new into morphos releases.

Thanks for the information, Michal. It's a pity you don't have enough time. Will Reggae have MPEG classes soon?

I think you just have to compare the version.revision of your classes to the ones I mentioned. Then we'll know if your classes are newer than mine :-)

It's me having the crashes, not Tcheko. He said he solved his crash by upgrading (whatever).

    i've prepared the new version:
this version make use of jfif.library so it's smaller, i have several version of jpeg.decoder on my HD and i don't remember which is the proper one:D, so this version should work but may crash :)

    stable? version
some fixes, and dpi metadata handling (useful for SCANdal, requires morphos 2.5 :) )

if you have problem with this decoder just write to me and send jpegs which cause problems

hmm, it looks like this decoder has problem with multiview (or multiview has problems with this decoder). I don't have access to morphos machine til wednesday and then i'll look into.
with Sketch and morphos it seems work ok

ps. morphos 2.5 (new multimedia.class) is required for DPI handling only

ps2. on the other side, Krashan's gif.decoder has problems with some gifs in SCANdal/Sketch :)

I can confirm that it's still the same behaviour like was reported before in this thread. Multiview crashes instantly when attempting to load any JFIF file.

Updated Multiview from MorphOS 2.5 doesn't make a difference.
