Has anyone done this, or is it that morphos also cant write to the formatted drive?
What's also strange is I can't access the files on it also.

the ipdo touch, unlike the classic ipod, can't be used as mass-storage.

:-( I guess it's tied to the itunes, what about viewing the files though? I guess that wouldn't be necessary.....

You could always jailbreak it and FTP the Mp3s to the correct folders iirc.
    My Macs:
    Powerbook G4 ALU 1.5GHZ 15" 1.5GB OSX.5.8
    Powermac G4 MDD 1.5GHZ OSX.5.8 MOS2.7

Want a part for a Mac? Let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Amithlon is amazing, questions and help I can provide.

I'm not sure - but have a look at these progs: http://aminet.net/search?query=ipod
Maybe IpodDisk can help you. I know, its a AOS4-prog, but perhaps it run on MOS too (with OS4 emu). I have no Ipod, so I can't test it........

I have an old 30GB video edition (5th generation) and I'm using rockbox as a main software for my Ipod so I can easilly upload music on MorphOS. But I'm not sure if there is an Ipod Touch RockBox at all..

Just copy of mp3's on iPod touch/iPhone not enough - need proper writes in database. Without this mp3's not exist for built-in player. But after jaibreak available much more 3rd party custom players, plays directly from filesystem. And yes, opens many ways for send/receive files via ftp, http, samba, etc.

As a matter of intrest, what is the best Mp3 player for Amigaoid OS? Like one you can just drag and drop folders in to play?

none of this having to use iPlayer or some other such being Apples/AN others MP3 maker's b*tch sort of thing

avoid apple stuff as much as possible, if you want to be free.
The best mp3 player for me is the Cowon S9, it has audiophile sound quality (the ipod has a very poor sound quality) plays everything (including lossless like FLAC, Ape... and everything about videos, i never convert anything into mine) and is fully mass storage compatible (works in morphOS).
The downside is that it's not so easy to find, depends in which part of the worl you are, and it's a bit pricey. But quality is above everything i ever tried (and i tried many of them).

I would recommend cowan players as well.

I have the iaudio D2 which has a sd card slot.
The S9 is nice but no sd card slot which i use for recent track
usage since i dont have room for a mp3 player on my pc but can have an sd card sticking out of a card reader :)

Kaya was part of the MOS 1.4x distibution. You can use the distribution for ClassicPPC-Amigas instead......

While Cowon is a clever choice, there's another alternative: iRiver.
They also build fine audio equipment that support many formats. Dunno much about quality of their current devices (the e100 looks nice), but my good old IHP-120 is very reliable since years and worked well with MorphOS from day one (IIRC about 5 years ago).
I also installed Rockbox as an alternative system on the player (dual boot) and it works nice, too.

    @Zylesea

while the iRiver products are not as good as Cowon (in terms of audio quality i mean), they are very very good products. They were better in the past though (golden age of the SlimX ; ) ) and you IHP-120 was a must have back in time, i always loved this player.
