Hello, i have been trying to use milkytracker for mod playing because hivelytracker only plays .ahx files.
The thing is that milkytracker loads well, but when i try to load a file, the app freeze.?If i try to close the window, ambient tells me that the application is dead and stay an open shell.
I have tried both doubleclicking the icon, as well as using os4emu via command line. I have the setpatch and the installation files where it should be.
Anyone can point me to the solution?
    Thanks in advance!

I managed to get my pro track mods running. i beleive the bug is related to invalid default load paths.
what i did is move the app to the directory of my modules file & add the shorcut to my panel & when i click on the load button i then immediately click on the home button & that will show the list of the directory where your running the app from i.e. my modules dir. after it loads it works flawlessly..

There are several PT (and other) MOD players available on MorphOS. I use UADE myself http://morphos-files.net/find.php?find=uade. Trackers are for composing tunes not only for playing them, especially if a program doesn't work well like MilkyTracker.

    Hi,

Well, I'm only using MilkyTracker as a player - as I'm no composer, but until now I didn't have any problems with it.

    @ _ThEcRoW:
What do you need os4emu for? The MilkyTracker I have is a nativ MorphOS version - IIRC it needs powersdl though.

Well, i needed a program that allowed me to play .mod files, and, since milky can play them i thought of giving it a try since os4emu is available on mos. I?heard of people runing the app with no problem so i gave it a go. Eventually i found a player that plays mods perfectly, but still want to run milky because the visual thing :). I always liked trackers for playing since mu early days on my 500 and pc boxes.

P.D: I didn't know there was a native mos versio. WHere to download it?

    P.D: Is additional software neccesary?

ok, installed and running perfectly. Is a direct port of os4 milky?, i mean, is there any difference between versions?
    Thanks for the link!!!

P.D: Is the milkytracker page online. I cannot load it up.

P.D: The error i got with os4emu, what could be the cause?

    > Is a direct port of os4 milky?

It's a direct "port" of SDL Milkytracker.

    > is there any difference between versions?

Just compare version numbers and release dates.
