What is the best traditional animation program available for MorphOS? Preferably something that is modern and provides onion skinning. I?m hoping there is something available that is a bit newer than the 90?s. I tried Lunapaint but it was not very stable on my Efika.

Pixel looks pretty nice. Does anyone have experience animating with it?

Nice but like nitroglycerin. Don't shake it.

Have you tried PPaint available on aminet ?

I very briefly tried to run the PPaint version (7.1?) I have on my AmigaForever 2008 disk but the screen was scrambled and unusable. I didn't have time to play around with settings to see if I could fix it. When I get home tonight I may try again.

how about to found a bounty project for such a software? i loved the old [True]Brilliance graphical application, in it's time i played a lot with DPaint4[AGA], i really don't feel very comfortable with the design of the 'modern' software ala PhotoShop although it's very powerfull, it's not a real fun... I loved to play with limited palette... :)

    bye, MarK.

Just an idea: making a onion skin render engine using TGL may be quiet straightforward...

After that, spray some drawing tools around and you got it :-)
    And now... next project!

DPaint is the one that put animation on the Amiga. But for a powerful animation programs today, I would look at toonboom. BUT, IT IS NOT ON MORPHOS! :-(
I would love a clone/port/? of it but I am a user not a programer.

Maybe I should setup a vnc server so I can do some coding at work while on my break. Seems to be the only free time I have anymore. I don't know how some people find the time to work on many of the great projects out there.

    Edit:
I just started looking through an opengl book and I think you are onto something. I'm really going to have to mull this over for a while.
