I don't understand why he says he will close the "Amiga" portion of the site and legally withdraw it as freeware other than out frustration. I think it would be not help the community at all.

I've visited the site to compare MED 2.0 features with DigiBooster 3, which I'm working on. Too bad the site is not very informative. Of course my opinion is biased, as MED would be a direct competition to DigiBooster 3 project, but competition makes software better. These 6 months create some "deadline" for me ;). Anyway I will show current alpha of DBPro3 at AmiZaduszki in Cracow this weekend.

Great! Now, excuse me for being off-topic but, how is Reggae doing? Are more codecs coming?

Not much, just maybe AIFF and WAVE encoders for DBPro3 (MorphOS version uses Reggae for some tasks).

Cool! When is MPEG coming to Reggae? Is it very hard to adapt existing open source MPEG code to the Reggae framework?

Sorry again for insisting in being off-topic...

This gallery, photo 15. Note that it is from March, so more than half a year old. I guess there will be some more photos from AmiZaduszki.

I registered Med for PC and tried to become tester for the ami-version.
Unfortunately they did't want a MOS guy ..

I use MED just for sequencing MIDI.. is there any alternative ?
    I like/need the pattern editing style ;-)

    @Krashan

DB looks awesome, looking forward to that!

And for not being OT enough, would it be possible for you to make some sort of tutorial on your diode-creation in Blender and ShowGirls ? ;)

Movie 3 is all about this. Don't forget to download English subtitles, as I speak Polish in the movie. Some fragment of creation process is skipped however (the movie would be too long...).

Just a brainstorm here, could we take the existing Amiga v1.03c code and rework the parts inside that do not run correctly in MorphOS, such as replacing the Toccata driver with an AHI driver.

Is there anyone else beside Piru who has the professional skill set in software engineering to accomplish this?

Would it take a bounty to do this?

This all came probably from my constant bitching at Ray, I just felt something had to do. Maybe its too late now. Lots of sourcecode has already been converted to c++, it might not be such a big deal for a developer to create an improved version. And I don't mean a complete overhaul, but step by step progress.. and PROGRESS is what SoundStudio needs.

For Midi I use Bars&Pipes. There is version for Morphos, but because of the tools and the stability I still use my old Amiga 1240, ebven while the Morpos-port i very fast.
    Look at: http://www.alfred-j-faust.de/

It is still an outstanding program, I can't find anything with such power and ease of use for just Midi.

    Cheers Tom
