I noticed that the latest UAE (0.8.22) was released quite some time ago and that the latest WinUAE (0.8.22 R9) seems to have many more features (at least if you check the changelog).
Is the original UAE dead? Should we start a project to backport WinUAE to libSDL or are UAE releases just far apart?
Has someone tried forking UAE before?

At the moment no one is working on UAE for MorphOS. So it's at a dead end. Really bad if you ask me. Just like you I like to see a regular updated version of UAE for MorphOS. But that project idea of yours sounds good. Maybe that is the way to go. Anyway on www.flyingpaper.com I got a forum for UAE for MOS. From tomorrow on I will be active again on that.

I was inquiring towards general UAE though, not the MorphOS version.
Are there any cross-gui libs that work on MorphOS as well as Linux and MacOS yet? If someone is to port winuae they need a good gui implementation =).
Oh, and is it possible to run UAE on Linux in fullscreen? I thought I'd make my powerbook into a portable Amiga instead ;)
