I saw the announcement on amiga-news.de that it was up again but by the time I got to check it out, nightly builds link is unavailable :(

Ambient Open Source Team page should be working, try this link morphosambient.sourceforge.net.
I'm checking it everyday. Few hours ago I have uploaded new Ambient nightly build 23.9.2007 (debug and no debug)
Maybe www.ambient-desktop.org had some problems, I think that sometimes this address didn't work for me too.

Go to: www.ambient-desktop.com
Click on: Nightly builds ... Loading ...

Then on:
Latest Ambient build (no debug) - 23.09.2007 - 13:02 CET New !
or
Latest Ambient build (debug) - 23.09.2007 - 13:02 CET New !

File is in .tgz format, so download it with your favourite web browser
to somewhere on your disk or Ram Disk (which I do).

Then you need a tool to unpack .tgz files. If your not so much into
command line stuff, download Voodoo-X. This is a great program that
lets you unpack different types of packed files.

I just do everything from Ram Disk. After unpacking, I install it and
reboot.

Hi all,

I never used the bookmark function in Ambient, I even dont know what is it for, what can one do with it.

Could anyone help and explain this to me please? and give me an example how to use it?

Go to Ambient Prefs/Window and add Bookmarks icon to the Ambient's
lister toolbar. Now simply open a lister, browse to any directory,
click on the Bookmarks icon and... From now everything should be
really easy to understand. :)

PS I use polish locale for Ambient, so I'm not sure if every single
name I've used sounds exactly like in Ambient's original (english)
phrases.

I understand what's it for now.

It would be also great to have a possibility, like we had for the AmigaOS with Toolsprefs, to add more custom menus to the toolbar of Ambient so one can execute programs from there.
