    Hi

I just read the news about the latest MUI beta on amiga-news.de. This seems like old news and I think it's a shame that it never appeared here or on morphos-news.de. I heard from friends who tried to submit news to MZ in the past that it was not possible/they had problems/they gave up.

My Peg is arriving this weekend finally so I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

By the way, topics in the forum are arranged in order of number of views (most viewed topics are at the top). Is it possible to change it so newest topics come first ? I can't see anything in my profile to let me change that.

    thanks

Actually, this was supposed to be a comment on the MZ web site, not the new MUI...

Yeah I figured, but still Software-area seems more proper for it.. well Targhan hopefully sees it. Not bad idea btw, maybe make a request about it on the MZ site discussion?

    I'm sorry, I don't understand.

I made two comments about MZ web site (one includes some old news) in the web site discussion area.

You moved it to the software area and then suggest I make a comment about it in the web site discussion area ???!!

I have two questions about the new MUI beta:

    - Why are the popup menus became so big? It looks like there is more space around the menu items, but I can't figure out how can I change it.

    - VoodooX stopped working. It starts to draw it's window, but can't finish it, always refreshes.

Are there any soulutions for this problems?

    Use popmenu.mui from previous MUI4.
Voodoo-X v2.0 beta 5 works ok here. Try to change your mui settings to default and try run Voodoo-X. Check also MUI classes etc. :-)

Iirc, voodoo-x 2.0 can't handle password protected files. I guess that's why it hasn't being released officially.

OK, I have found a new issue:
RC-FTPd doesn't display now the field which contains the users activity log when clicking a connected user in the list.

EDIT: OK, I was an idiot, because it was simply turned off in RC-FTPd settings. Sorry. :)

I finally installed this MUI but I couldn't open a shell.

Therefore I went back to the previous MUI. Did anyone encounter and fix this problem ?

I tried to download some new muiclasses when the requester freezes. It couldn't find the partitions. I tried later again and sometimes it freezes just with the first download and sometimes after 4 or 4 downloads. This also happens with the requester in other programmes. I'm not sure it is MUI that causes the problem. Someone with the same problem?
I'm using latest nightbuild and latest MUI.

    Regards Tom

I'd say it's either a misinstalled MUI (mui core libs/classes in both sys: and mossys:) or a sideeffect of a stoneold z.library in your system.

So, check your MUI installation and also look for this z.library in your system and make sure to delete it if you find it, as it just conflicts badly with asl thumbnails compression feature.
