    Hi!

Does someone know, if fat95 is working under
MOS? Would be great to have one "allround"
partition containing f.e. mp3s for MOS, Linux and
    MOL....
    bye

    hi

I'm using Fat95 for USB floppies and zips.
Never try it with a partition, but I think it works.

Same story here, I'm afraid. I use it with Zip drives, pendrives, but haven't tried it with a partition yet.

I was trying to salvage some things from FAT16 and FAT32 formated drives/partitions from my dead PC.

I downloaded MountDos from Aminet, configured it to use Fat95. Plopped the drive in my system, and *poof*, it mounted the partitions found on my PC drive. It worked with my 10gig and 2 gig harddrives. My 20gig reported some read errors when trying to mount it so I'm unsure if it's a Fat95 bug or bad blocks?

    Yes, i use it with USB-Sticks / USB-HDD-Drives with
    FAT32-format (size is 40 GByte) or MP3-HDD-players!
    No problems at all!

    Hi!

Maybe Poseidons massstorage.device tells our Peggies
to use fat95. But MOS probably doesn't ?
    But I'll try MountDOS!!!! ;)
Thank you all for the hints!!!!
    have a nice day

When you use mount dos, you'll need to edit the tooltips.

There's a FAT95 tooltip that's disabled by default, a "Mount" tooltip that will mount the partitions found. There is also a tooltip for the device and unit. So, for IDE you'll need to write: ide.device as the device and unit 0-3 depending where the drive is plugged in (0 = primary master, 1 = primary slave, 2 - secondary master, 3 - secondary slave).

    Hi td741!

I tried it at home, but I only get shell opening, telling me that my ide.device Unit 0 has 4 partitions,
which are all empty.... (120GB -> maybe to big?)
I have 10 partitions on it.....
    Thank you anyway!!!!!
If it doesn't work I'll continue coping files from
FFS to HFS via linux (PegXLin CD can read both and
even SFS, but MOL crashes in the Rev1 state of the CD : so I have MOL running on an extra
    "original" debian woody rc1).
Please don't ask, where I got the CD from, ask david
via email or visit his website....

    bye
