if it somehow work, why bother ??

Because X11+gtk stuff is slow compared to MUI :-)

It's just a temporal solution, it's not something you would like to use everyday. A MUI port would be.

Just like you prefer a native TinyGL game instead of a software rendered one :-)

I remembre two Bounties about X11.
First was about creating a X11 serveur.
    https://morph.zone/modules/bounty/bounty_view.php?mychoice=XServer
Second and more interesting was about a X11_Warpper
    https://morph.zone/modules/bounty/bounty_view.php?mychoice=X11_Wrapper
What do you think about the last ?

imho, the second bounty is the better of the 2.

    We now have:
    - trance+mui for the old programs using rtg
    - euae for the old programs/games/demos
    - various emulators for arcades+consolles
    - emulators for MacOS
    - emulators for old dos game (scummVM+dosbox+reminescence etc etc )

i think we do not need more emulators, we need native port or at least wrapper.

Because in a long view i don't want to boot mos only to launch an emulator.

Not true! Began in MIT as a WindowManager based in Unix. I use X on the A1. The ABC shell is required.
Edgar Scwann does nice work with Cynix X! :-)
