Hi Korni,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, you're right it is simplemail 0.30 I have installed. I knew the MOS version number was one below the OS4/68k version numbers, just got the versions muddled up.
I'm fairly new to MOS - have installed it on BPPC previously, but did not get far past the toying around stage. Now that I have a Peg (Peg1, with April 2 fix) I have started to put together a real system, and starting finding issues - all good fun
It does mean I'm kind of lost a bit though, and full of what are probably FAQ's (although not answered on the FAQ page as far as I can see).
I thought the latest version of MUI was integrated into the MOS distribution?
Anyway, in reading up I see that MUI4 is still in beta. Is there a clear benefit in installing MUI4? Are there issues with having MUI4 custom classes installed on a base MOS installation? Also, where can I obtain the latest beta release?
I did a little bit of reading up and understood that the convention was just to place PPC MUI classes into MOSYS:classes/MUI for and 68k MUI classes into SYS:classes/MUI. Is it not as clear cut as this?
I have a Radeon 7000 graphics card installed - is there a hardware compatability forum anywhere so that I can rule out it being a basic hardware issue?
Regards
Rich
