I want to scan the contents off a technical book.
It has pictures which are split into codelists for ordering.
So a picture can have 1 or more codelist this depends on parts.
I was creating something in html but it just is to much work.
Is there a database program which can do this?
    Which is compatible with morhpos.

You can use Amigabase or MuiBase.
They are fast and flexible and have both the possibility to write programs for specialized tasks.

Amigabase is a hierarchical database and Muibase is a relatuinal database.

    Regards Tom

(By the way, they are both completely free, even the sourcecode is free. Look for them on Aminet)

    Hi amiga4001,

you could write to the author of MUIBase, Steffen Gutmann (muibase@yahoo.com) and send him a description of how you want this. I'm shure he will have a look into it and can give you some hints how to best do it with MUIBase.

BTW MUIBase is very very flexible and incredibaly strong and can do things one cant imagine. I use it as a complete customer, article, offers, ordering and selling database for my company, with several 1000's of orders...

    MUIBase is really great.

Here is an image of my DB:

I think the biggest issue you face is simply data input. Whether you are trying to do this in HTML or with a database, you are still stuck with applying images to the codelists--and building associations. It also depends on the output you want. Do you want the output in HTML, or just any output where you can visualize the images to their codebase?

In my opinion, the most important thing you can do is to come up with a good naming convention for your project's image files. Then, you could even use a scripting language, such as ARexx or REBOL, to build your HTML pages for you. (I've even seen such projects done with DOS and Installer!)

Well it has got to be like this:
A main picture with buttons to link to other pictures.
Also the picture has got to have buttons to click to ordercodes for that page.
And maybe a searchfunction for words in the ordercodes.
But thinking as it is a car about a picture off the car as main which clicks to the area where you click.
eg: when you click on the wheels you get the wheels page..
This is doable in html for sure but the linking/setting up is too much work.
And can't get the browsers to support a keypress for forward/reverse.
    It is a big book..

That is a nice program this hollywood but pricey..79 euro.
I'll have to save up some first.
Will it be able to design database alike structure?
    So with buttons etc..
Think it will do what I want but just to be sure.
