Order of the Butterfly

It's an option of the SCSIConfig tool. I understand (more or less) what it does but i haven't done it before since i haven't saw this option in any similar tool like HDToolBox and HDInstTools.
So, my question is: Does it produce any noticable increase in the performance of the HD? I'm using IDE HDs and the built in IDE port of the Amiga 1200, thus backing up my partitions will be a lenghty proccess. But if it's worth it, i will do it.
