I have a Peagsos II card MorphOS 1.4.5 on cd.
I follow the installation as described here: http://www.morphos-news.de/beta2help/qstart_en.html

Everything looks good, until i try to boot from the harddrive.
The MorphOS logo is displayed, but then nothing happens.

There is only an agp card installed.

    any hints?

Find a text editor somewhere and put "wait 1" before the line where IPrefs is started. This seems to be a quite common cause to this exact problem.

okay. So how do I do this?

I attached a usb harddrive, I see it in the morph config under usb, and the debug tells me it is avaiable under usbscsi, but can I access this someway?

Or what about going the network way, there is no included tcpip stack as I remember, so how am I supposed to get an editor over ???

You can get the editor and some more things you may need into a cdrw until you get you peg started propperly.

    installing morph is a pain!!!

Okay, I found an editor on aminet, burned it over to a cd...

But morphos is not to happy with me ejecting the morphos cd, and why would it? The system just locks up.

I tried to open a cli window, before ejecting it, and I got to access the burned cd but I dont have any commands to work with, since the morphos cd is ejected. I even tried to assign Morphosboot: to system: but no luck, what kind of stupid operating system is this anyway?

    Any help would be apriciated.

A new MOS-image should be created with Jaceks Ed included.

    My two cents ;-)

okay, I found that if I start terminal from system: and use system:morphos/c/copy to copy and switch back to the morphos cd afterwards it works.

But just to find out that the editor did not work.

Can anyone give me a link to a simple text editor, pre compiled.
