Sorry if this has been asked before.

I have Hyperion's Quake II and Freespace both with problems.

Quake II will not install, it gets to the point it asks for the PC CD,
I put one it and the process just stops. Not the whole system but just
the install process.

Freespace will not install, it stops immediately with an error that
there is too little had drive space. i have many free gigs.

Oh yeah, also why is it whem playing MP3s at the same time as web
browsing in V3 do i get sound distortion?

I don't know these particular installers very well; however, the installer -> free disk space is a known problem. Well, not really a problem, but more like a problem with installer itself. I'm assuming you've donwloaded installer43.3, or used a copy included with the game. Basically, installer, like the old filesystem, doesn't recognize large harddrives. I would normally suggest to have a smaller FFS formatted partition for such a thing.

What I normally do is "fix" the installer by hand, or read the installer and copy the files by hand.

On my system, (with MOS 1.3 back then) Freespace installed rather nicely, but it installed the 0x0 version...

Heretic II installed nicely too, but didn't work.

BUT after installing patch available from Hyperion's website, it works very well...

Shogo installed, but didn't show any 3D drivers available, iirc, I had same problem on A1200 a few times... (Had to do many delete/re-installs due to low HD space)

hi just use the installer from os3,9 and all your prob are gone. no gb errors or anything else just copy it to c dir (not in morphos c: dir)
