I'd love to be able to play DVDs on it, and pipe them through the Radeon's S-video output. One less use for the Wintel box, one more use for Pegasos instead

One of my co-workers brought up a good point today. He said that Apple really screwed the pooch-they had a hardware and software system that could essentially manipulate any file out there. Then they caved in to the RIAA-hamstringing their system in the process.
So, will the users control the Pegasos and the media they put on it-or will the RIAA do it for them as on the Mac? This has many implications..
