I've updated MorphOS sound datatypes. Changes:
    - mp3.datatype: fixed frame counting for MPEG-2 layer III files.
    - sound.datatype: removed annoying debug output.
Update is available from this MorphUp index. Thanks to Piru for finding the MPEG-2 bug and writing an example reproducing the problem.

Thanks for making an update available!

Is that the only possible way to get the update? I believe not every MOS system has network connection. At least my system is network-less. Can you provide a "normal" archive?

    Of course, here it is.

I'm still a bit confused at how to get new updates installed using MorphUP. Do I simply just add your index to MorphUP and then use the update to install it, or do I need to point to the director it needs to go in after I add the index?

Well, MorphUp is a bit confusing here, because if you want to find a packet easily, you have to know its category (or open all tree nodes and read through them), name search and sorting by category ignoring indexes is a must for future versions of MorphUp.

But let's back to installing datatypes. You add the index to MuCl, then you open its node, open "Utilities/Operating System" category. Then click on "SoundDatatypes" package and press "Install" on the toolbar. Then the package is installed automatically. You are then asked to reboot, to be sure old versions are no more in memory (old versions can be flushed alternatively with 'flushlib' or 'avail flush', but rebooting always works).

Still confused. What goes in the install root section for the path? I have Work:tools there now and I get a install failure or abort when I try to install anything using your index.

Hmm, root install patch for a package category is the place, where you want all non-system files of the category to be copied. You can change this for every categry in MuCl preferences. SoundDatatypes package contains only system files however, so they are forcibly installed in MOSSYS:Classes/Datatypes, and no file is copied in the category patch.

I have tools go to tools, apps go to apps, net things go to internet ect, but again none of your things seem to install. It shows the new files at forst, asks to replace it then gives the failure message.
