Hi, I'm wondering what ever happened to the release of the promised BurnIT 3.

It's been highly positioned on my whishlist here a long time. Would be nice to know what the status of the possible release of it is.

I registered Papyrus at the beginning of October, and asked Titan Computers about BurnIt 3 status. On October, 4 they replied writing: "BurnIT development has restarted today, we will make press releases when it comes available for public". If we interpret literally what they said and want to be very optimistic, BurnIt could be available at Xmas. But I fear this is too much optimistic...

    klesterjr:
Unfortunatelly it won`t work. The package itself is build upon open source tools, they indeed run on mos. But the gui build around that is done with cando. And that crashes mos hopeless.

But the packages there are really nice, I wish someone would have done a similar effort, but with a Mui Gui (and native Mos compiles) instead. Especially what he did with the vcdimager.. great.

AFAIK BurnIT 3 is finished. Only one thing is missing the utility to register.

I own a LOT of Amiga software -- but not MakeCD. I always thought it was overpriced (and still do).

Ok, I wonder why that take so long time then =)
Good to know that it's finished though.

I'll register Frying Pan (which is a great tool aswell) until they release BurnIT.

Until very recently, it was prohibitively expensive to register Frying Pan from the US -- now he has an intermediary in France who can take PayPal.

I don't care for his registration scheme (tying it to a particular drive) but I may end up registering this anyway. Just hope my drive never dies & he doesn't disappear from the Amiga scene.
