I've a problem,too
I dont understand what you mean.
In Ambient there is a menu
Objects --> Panels --> New ...
(Works here)

The panels have problems with the MUI4_Alpha.
There are some fixes in latest Ambient but IIRC
this is not yet available anywhere (except you compile yourself)

CVS log show 5.9. for the entry I mean ... whats your date of Ambient?

Guys... It's the CVS... If you use it you are bound to run into problems ;) ... It's in development after all.

Sorry for my late reaction, but ill wait until a new ambient version appears.
