I've trying to use an harddisk to reinstall Morphos, but I can't delete the MBR. I've tryed to use the SCSI config tool but after I delete the MBR and install MOS, this can't boot. Infact as I call the SCSI config, the MBR is there again. Maybe I've forgiving some forum solution...

There is a tool called hdwrite AFAIK, which can be used to erase MBR from disk. It is described in Pegasos manual.

Thanx Krashan, I've found on manual a command for the Ambient.
After the making of a new Shell, the command line " hdmbrclear ide.device 0" delete the MBR perfectly. So, I reinstalled the MOS 1.4.2 but after MOS never boots from hd. It boots only if the MOScd is inserted. What's happening in my Peggy2? HELP! :-(

Does it detect the HDD in Open Firmware? I have the same problem, HDD is too slow to be properly detected when alone on the cable. The solution is simple - reset (via button) after power up, then my HDD is detected and MOS boots without problems.

yes, I follow the correct procedure used the first time I've installed MOS, one year ago, and at that time all was ok. Now, I've trying to change case, graphic card(another Radeon 7000) and two hdisks, tomorrow I'll make it (I'm just cross my fingers!). Stay tuned.
