    Hi all :)

    Here
    http://gcube.exemu.net/
is a gamecube emulator, which uses SDL...
It compiled without probs under linux here...
(I don't have gamecube games, so no idea how useable it is...)

The Bungie game-series "Marathon" is called AlephOne,
uses SDL, too and ROCKS under linux, also...

Although I'm a newbie in mos-"porting" I tried to compile
both for MOS, but sadly failed...

I think it wouldn't be so hard for more skilled people
    to make mos-versions of both,eh?

Would be really great if someone could tell me how to setup
a cross-compiler for mos for my debian
(includes and libs stuff are all on right places; but how do I
    make ppc-morphos-gcc and friends ?).
Do I have to compile a new gcc? If so my binutils-sources
    don't seem to like "morphos"...(?)
I think a simple RTFM with a link to TFM would already help,
but I can't find s.th. useful regarding this...

    kind regards,
    frostwork

The main problem imo with porting anything that
requires 3D graphics to mos right now is a lack
of public OpenGL compatible libraries and drivers
for 3D hardware like Radeon. I am guessing the
next major mos release may solve some of these
    issues, but it's not confirmed.

    Hi, realstar!
    THX for quick reply!
I know the "compatible" libs are not yet available, but
at least AlephOne can be compiled with
    oftware-render-mode...

I play the Mac OS X port of it and its not too bad. Its dated looking, but that does not take away from the fun. I gues you could say its a close the Doom 2 in graphics qual.

    @aliem:

Thx for the link, but I know the thread...
The prob is that the rpms are for x86-linux, i.e.
    quiet useless for ppc-linux...

As (at least under linux) AlephOne has OpenGL support,
it even looks better than Doom2, eh :)

AlephOne is out for OS X. Its PPC code so maybe that will help you
    more?

    Hi, Acill!

The linux-sources compile very good here under
Pegasos/debian, so the sources seem to like PPCs :)
The game works very good here on Pegasos/linux (with GL)
but the MOS-gcc doesn't like it (even without gl there are
    "internal compiler-errors")

As you are a great developper, it may be possible to compile this one on morphos but if you really want it you should ask and explain what do you want to do to Kiero he is the developper of the tynigl which is already working on radeon but it seems to be a little buggy but it works Polymere"s home (mos dev)
sure if you to really do it it can be possible

    Hi, acepeg:

    > As you are a great developper...

In case you talk about me, I'm not so good as I seem to be :)
In fact I simply compile some stuff under linux and make different thing
work together then. I didn't play too much with mos-gcc, but
somehow most stuff refuses to compile till end under 2.95 here...
I once even "forced" the aleph sources to compile till end but the
    result was not usable...
Surely there are many real developers who can do better for mos... :)
    cheers
