Well yes, it's a freeware prog called DiskImage or so?! (I forgot the name, I'll check it tomorrow at work)

Awesome. That would be great if I can get my hands on it.

So you're able to do more with FreeDos than I :-D
I know I was stuck with formatting the harddrive, but the installation of Win95 was corrupt at the end. That's why I made images of the Win95 recovery floppy at my work and used that instead.

I wouldn't mind getting a copy of your recovery floppy just to even test out that I can boot off of them.

I tried that too (without Catweasel), but PCTask needs the original chipset or so.

Well, it seems to work okay. Just no sound. :P Did anyone try PCx?

    Hi td741,

Just mailed it to you :-D

Nice that PCTask works! I guess I have to try it again to see what the errormessage was exactly. :-)

Just saw it! Thanks for sending it! :) Worse case scenario, I can try and make the OS/2 boot disks from that. :)

About PCTask. I'm trying to remember what I did exactly. Umm...

It's PCTask3, not sure about 4.x. I had a coverdisk from an old CU Amiga or was it Amiga format?

Anyway, I turned off sound, serial, parrallel. I went into advanced video settings and turned all of the video modes to "windows" although you can select a Cybergraphx screenmode too. :P

I pointed the first floppy to "PH0:" which is the catweasel high dense floppy and created a hardfile.

Now I'm trying to get it to boot. :) Can't seem to get it to boot off of a floppy. I get messages saying: "Non bootable or system disk" when I try my dos boot disks and such. AROS boot disk gives me a "GRUB" error. The OS/2 boot disk gives me an OS/2 error.

However, I'm half guessing that some of the problems are due to the fact that PCTask3 only emulates a 286.

Aha! I think I can get farther now. :P Seems like certain errors caused bochs to quit, but if I put in "ignore" it contintued on. :)

    I'm working on installing OS/2. ;)

Hmm... Seems like getting OS/2 to work is a fruitless endeavour.

    a) If I aim for a CD install, I can build (through bochs) the two floppy disks necessary for the installation. I can boot up just fine, and get the OS/2 graphic (although the text is mangled on the OS/2 splash screen.) After a while it just crashes before getting to the actual installation.

    b) If I aim for a Disk based install, it can build the two first disks but cannot build the next disks. :(

    Oh well.

    Hello all again,

Did you all notice a new version of Bochs is
    released (2.2) ?

So it almost inspired me to expand the BochsGUI
i once had made. But then i wanted to know what
was new in this version, and i couldn't find
what's newly supported on MorphOS, thats where
my interest once again left me ..

    But i did manage to port/recompile/adjust a
Linux tool named 'lomount' to MorphOS.

lomount is used on linux to mount a diskimage
file as harddisk, i already made this feature
on MorphOS with BochsGUI and fat95/diskimage.

But i changed the lomount to a usefull tool
for MorphOS and Bochs namely: hdfileinfo.

With hdfileinfo you can easily discover all
info about: Cylinders, Heads and SPT.

    hdfileinfo <Path to HDFILE>

    See my plain Bochs page:
    Felix Bochs Page

    Gr,
    Felix.
