Hello I gave the cdda-filesystem a try and found it usefull to access audiocd-tracks directly via ambient.
but after ejecting the cd, the icon is not removed. what can be done to remove the disk completely. there must be a way as removing usb-sticks works quite good.
mount das not have an option to do so and the command unmount is unknown. any hints?

the problem is ambient doesn't refresh.

f.e. when i mount an iso and want to get rid of it, i do the
    following:

    assign dismount vol:
    assign remove vol:

then i put in a real CD, close the drive, wait for it to show up in
ambient and then remove the CD. This makes ambient refresh the
desktop. the mounted iso is removed.

I don't know if there is a more comfortable way to get ambient to
refresh but this one works (at least).

I think i understand the reason of this problem.
This is because "Assign" tool doesn't post IDCMP_DISKREMOVED after removing a volume.
In fact this is dos.library's fault as m68k Assign also doesn't post IDCMP_DISKREMOVED.
I will consider fixing it in unmorphos.
