Do you know where I can get or purchase this product?

AllegroCDFS does NOT work on anything else then an Amiga with an Elbox Fast ATA Controller. However, the builtin CD Filesystem of MorphOS supports DVD reading.

BUT most DVDs are encrypted, which is NOT supported because of legal/licence issues.

If you are lucky, AMP2 can play your DVDs, but it is somewhat unstable since it is beta since some time, and it does only work with little (or was it bit? Radeon doesn't work, Voodoo does) Endian Modes.

It looks like we'll have to wait for some "official" DVD-support for MOS!

I was hoping we would have some options using Amiga utils to run DVD movies and so.

I'm a patient guy, I can wait.......hopefully

Saint, why it works for me?

1. mos cd filesystem supports dvds. there mounted without problems.

2. u can use frogger (2.06) to watch the vob files. But frogger can't handle crypted dvds. and has no support for the required audiocodec yet.

3. to get sound and have support for crypted dvds u can use mencoder (check out morphos-news.de -> softwaresection). Simply convert them to divx and watch.

4. I'm sure the Author of mencoder works on a port of the mencoder movie-player. Then it whould be possible to watch dvds without any problems. Maybe u should ask him per email. If he recognizes that theres really need for such application then it will come true.

very good news. thanks. :)

last frogger seems to have serious troubles, it refuse to replay
mencoder encoded movies
previous versions works fine, mplayer too


-mplayer can read vob without probs
-no options to change, only change the player ;)

Thanks for the info.
Now I have to find mplayer.
In the meanwhile I found mpeg2decodeWOS.
This one also works, but I didn't figure out how to stop the movie
