I have noticed some troubles with Earth 2140 under MOS 1.4.4 (My setup : Peg 2 G4, Voodoo 3, sound with AC97 onboard).

-> I can't launch the game with the AHI executable (black screen).

-> The game works with original executable + eaudio.device but there is no sound under MOS 1.4.4.

Please try the game on your computer and say us how it work.

It seems as if he is talking about the patched Version with Ahi enabled.

I tried it and hat the same result like you.
The Solution for that, remove the audio.device
Without it, it works just fine here.

I hoped that this would also solve the crashes I have with SMSplus, unfortunatelly this was not the case.

I just got Earth 2140 and downloaded the 1.1 patch from the
epic-interactive web site. Its working perfectly if I load the wos
version and I have the audio.device as well. Full sound and music
even.
