I assume that when the Peg II arrives then a MOL would be usefull and gain some 'sence' . The G3 600 MHz is a lil slow to do usefull things with MacOSX, which has NOT the speed of Morphos :-). So It can be done and that's what counts. The next step is a G4 1x GHz in order to do something usefull :-)

    Hi!

But with MacOS 9.2 you can work very good with MOL! Many progs and Games run in fullspeed!
I think you do not really need MacOSX...
The slow MOL-OSX performance is not just only cause of the G3: MOL emulates graphicscards
and so OpenGL is not (yet?) usable within MOL...

I hope I didn't talk to much rubbish...

    Bye

Hi Magnetic! greetings for your new MOL working installation! ;-)
I'm really really really really interested to a "step by step" guide on how to install MOL too! If you will do it, I really thing you will do a big present for all our community. :)
Concerneing speed of MacOS X it will be unusable until we will get our PeggyII with G4 becuase it wants OpenGL and it wants Altivec to run decently. However macOS X is totally another planet!! 8-)

    Hi
Thanks :) However, I will not be posting a how to here.. its too much and beyond my scope. I advise you to check out www.maconlinux.org for install. Also, you will have to recompile your Linux kernal and the MOL modules :( I may post a how to on my site with the help from others..

I have MOL too - a friend of mine made the install for me ;-)- and I have a question :-)

I have a Shapeshifter hardfile and now a Mac partition for MOL. Is it possible (either from MorphOS or Linux) to transfer my files from the hardfile to the Mac partition?

    HiHo!

Probably a little bit off-topic, but anway two
    questions:

    1) Does VirtualPC run on our Peggie/MOL/MacOS ?

    2) Is there a workaround for crashed savesgames in Diablo2 on Peggie/MOL/Mac ?
Crash MOL, Peggie, or Diablo related???

    Have a nice weekend!

    Well,
Virtual Pc runs on MOL with a Mac PPC.. it should work for us too, I'll try it when I get the software!

    NO idea on Shapeshifter files
No idea on crashed saved games..

I WAS going to do a complete Guide to MOL on PEG with help from others on my site.. but after gettting all the flack on Ann.lu for being a "pirate" for running Mac oS "illegally" I'm very hesitant..

    Hi Miky060,

I understand magnetic's view. He should think of his reputation.
After all they are selling goods and everything.

I have managed mounting the FFS2 partitions, then (in molrc.linux?) I simply added the hardfile to MOL.

Guess what - MOL flawlessly used the ShapeShifter hardfile :-) Woww!
