    Gidday guys.
Many years ago I had an Amiga 500 and used to enjoy a game called R-Type.
Ok, so just recently I found R-Type and discovered you can use an emulator on a win pc to run Amiga games software etc YAY !!!
So downloaded latest UAE9.nn something etc, found Kickstart1.3 ( here) and thought I had it sussed but ..... apparently not.
I get a screen with the WB1.3 disk icon showing but am unnable to progress any further.
What am I missing/not doing/need to get this awesome game back and going again.
I'm pretty win/intel literate but confess to having little knowledge about the internal guts and commands, needs etc of the old Amiga.
A chk list or similar would be great.
    Any help appreciated ....
    Thanks in anticipation ...

I don't know the WinUAE version, but I guess you simply have to add the R-Type adf under "Disks" to DF0: and hit the start button.

If it's just the one game I think you can play it in MAME as well

Yes, R-Type is originally an arcade game.

And so is R-Type II and R-Type Leo.

There's also R-Type Delta for Playstation and R-Type Final for Playstation 2.
(might be possible to get Delta running on emulation, but don't count on it... Both are worth getting if you like R-Type and have PS2)

Oh, check out C64 version of R-Type too, some musics sound much better than in the original arcade version.

R-Type Final being with no doubt the best of the series. A really classy shoot'em up!
