I have an USB-Joystick I want to use with MAME and other games.
But with default config, there is just the mousepointer that is moved.
Now I think of two possibilieties:
1. Map Arrow-Keys to the Joystick within Poseidon.
But I haven't found the correct settings for that.
2. Teach MAME to use USB-Input, but I can't see this option, too.

Any help on this?

install the poseidon update from platon42.de

the latest update is already installed.
as i don't know previous ones that detailed, I can not say what has changed.
but i miss "more practical" settings

Make sure in Poseidon prefs "Devices->yourgamepad->settings"
that lowlevel library emulation is set to "port1: merge with usb".

That USB-Joystick is it an anlog one or digital, and is it the CompPro?

Make sure you installed the update CORRECTLY and that everything shows as updated. You need to do a version in the shell to be sure and look in the prefs. I had the same problem and noticed I missed a startup-sequence entry. Once I corrected that all the game pads I've tried have worked fine.

poseidon.library V2.2 in mossys:libs/
Trident is V2.0
hid.class V1.5

The device is an Competetion Pro USB-Joystick, it is recognized as "USB 2A4K Game Pad" within Trident.

The line
PoseidonROMUpdate
is set just before
Iprefs

But I can't find an option to combine lowlevel.library with the Joystick in the told window.

i have been told that my problem can be in connection with lowlevel.library.
there is one present, but i can't remember where it came from.
from what aos/mos version do i have to take the lowlevel.library?

Did you edit the user-startup file like the docs tell you to? It must be dont to get the update working correctly, a files needs to be run at startup. Read the install docs again/

Trident is V2.0
and hid.class is V1.6 <= You have older version.
