I can think in lots of software I may want to have before this piece of soft. Yeah, we already have nice movie players like Frogger or MPlayer, I think that the effort invested in porting xine could be spend in something more useful.

These threads named "port this or port that" are boring. Instead of asking a port every time you breath (I say "you" but I mean you in general, not to you as a single user) why not learn some C? It may take you off the forums for some hours and after spending a pair of hours you may say "ey! these have been 2 productive hours" instead of wasting time asking for ports.

Liquidbit, I know you are not the one who asks more ports here, but take it as a general comment and not as an attack to you ;-)

I'm really tired of reading "port this and port that".

If it have not been done it's probably because it's difficult, the coders have not time, there's software that can make a similar task, etc... so if you think that it's important do it yourself! :-)

I hope I don't sound very rude, but these threads should end.

AmiCNC works. So there, you have no excuse. When can we expect first beta of Xine?

while i will not say anyhting as to the nature of "yay a port would be great" i will say this. Xine is great. its code is rather portable and a windows version is near complete. though i se no real need for it seince Mplayer currently exsisrs on MOS. sorry i am not providing the answer you probly want. though i have to say the Xine team has done one hell of a job :-D
