    I have downloaded:

    http://www.phinixi.com/~mheider/daten/Image-Install.initrd.chrp

    and

http://www.phinixi.com/~mheider/daten/Linux-Image/mandrake91.img.gz (it took me about 2 days)

Problem: After executing image installer, it stops booting :o( Must I add any parameter?

P.S.: When I tried Debian via its *.chrp (in MOS contribution directory) it booted and could be installed.

I didnt even know you could install mandrake on the Pegasos. Its the only Linux build becides Knoppix I got working and likes on an old Pc laptop I had once. If an installer comes out I may just give it a shot myself.

    Hi Jack,

Try asking in PPCZone.org forums, http://www.ppczone.org, as those pages are being visited by Linux freaks...

Second, welcome to the world of Linux on Pegasos, please note that nearly ALL the documentation you fill find are OLD and OUTDATED, you learn that you download GB's of iso's for nothing. We really need UP TO DATE documentation for people who want to install Linux on their Pegasos.

Mandrake installation is supported by the Image Installer V2, you can order it via Image Installer web page.

I've installed Mandrake 9.1 successfully on my PegII/G3 using ImageInstaller V2, but Mandrake on Pegasos is crap. I did not manage to get internet working (DSL), there are many mistakes, besides the disturbing, but not "dangerous" sometimes missing localisation (maybe only a problem with german version). Now I've deleted it and installed Debian Sarge, and everything is working perfect!
