Use Ripper to encode your CDs to OGG. It rules.
But as people have pointed out, converting mp3 to ogg is generally not
a good idea. Maybe if you want to significantly lower the bitrate at
the same time, so that you're already expecting a quality loss.
I don't know of any device that can play OGG, that can not play mp3,
so it's usually best to leave mp3 files in that format.
