Heroes of Might and Magic III on Pegasos

    Hi,

    I'm a happy owner of the Heroes of Might and Magic III
    Linux version from Loki.
    There is an offical patch to install this on PowerPC so
    theoretically it should work on my Pegasos under Debian.

    Unfortunately the PPC update always segfaults.

    Got anyone this game running on Pegasos/Linux?


    I personally think that Heroes of Might and Magic III
    is one of the best games ever. The Linux version
    builds on SDL so I could imagine that this game
    could be ported to MOS as well.

    Is the source code on the CD-ROM? :-D

    Wow that is a great game. I would love to see a MOS Native build of it. Is anyone out there up for the challege?

    The Mac version works fine here with MacOnLinux, never tried the Linux version though.

    The source is of course not included ;:-)
    So before *porting* someone would need to ask Loki and 3DO.

    I think that there are many good commercial games build on SDL.
    With a proper agreement with the owners it should be possible
    to port many games to MOS.
