Yepp the title says it allready, I am searching for someone who can make a newer .ico datatype or a tool which converts .ico data to another format and back. BTW for those who don`t know this format is used by Windows to store icondata. There are datatypes on Aminet, but unfortunatelly they only can handle data up to 256 color, with XP tru color icons are possible. And afaik those datatypes aren`t able to extract all icons found in an .ico file, because windows stores every size in a single file!
So this tool should be able to do exactly that, extract every size, and show truecolor data. And it should be possible to store images again in .ico format. I ask, because many friends asked for my scumm bubble Iconset and my upcomming carcons Unfortunatelly, they won`t switch to MOS
So if one of you can do such a tool, it would be very welcome.

You want to grab a recent version of NetPBM:

Those two will do exactly what you want. You HAVE to get one from after April 2003, because before that they wouldn't process XP icons properly :)

ah, is it available for MorphOS? anyway datatype or a plugin for AE or Image FX would be welcome too
